:: Who May Join

The contest is open to all professional and amateur Filipino videographers whether delegate or not a delegate of WPPP Photo Congress 2007.

All WPPP members, Sony and their employees and immediate relatives are not permitted to join in this video contest.

:: What Must The Entry Be

The entry must have been captured by SONY Handycam.

It should consist of a single production of wedding highlights and all video footages must have been shot for the same event (not necessarily on the same date).

The appropriate use of graphic elements, photographs, engagement shoots and scoring are allowed.

The time limit must not fall under 60 seconds and exceed 5 minutes.

:: When Is The Deadline

Entries will be accepted until October 10, 5:00 PM by the Secretariat at the WPPP Office, 35 P Tuazon Street, Cubao, Quezon City.

An entry with postage-due delivery will not be accepted.

No exceptions will be made for any reason and the entrant is solely responsible for ensuring that the Secretariat received the entries on or before the deadline.

:: How To Submit The Entry

Only one entry is allowed per entrant and must be submitted in a miniDV tape, in the NTSC standard. There is no entry fee.

Fully complete the official entry form and securely attach this to the entry. The entrant will receive a duplicate copy of the entry form.

Please use plain label on each entry. Only the first and/or last names of the wedding couple are to be indicated on the label (for example, Santos-Cruz).

Studio logo or name nor the names of the production team must not appear anywhere on the entry’s labels, tape case, or tape shell. Failure to observe this rule shall be a cause for disqualification.

Please ensure that the video is properly cued and to protect the video tape during delivery, please encase this in a protective covering.

All entries will become the properties of the WPPP Photo Congress 2007 and the sponsor who also reserve the right to reproduce, exhibit or publish them.

The copyright, however, remains with the videographer.

:: Who Are The Panel Of Judges

The panel of judges will be composed of at least two selected professional
event videographers and a representative from Sony.

Entries will be reviewed in a two-step process consisting of an initial
round and a final round.

Entries will be judged based on objective elements such as dramatic
impact, visual creativity, originality, style of shooting and editing, use
and/or reproduction of audio, pacing, and overall production content. In
the initial round, three finalists will be selected by the judges. Judging
will be held in the Sony Philippines Home Office (8th Floor Net Square
Bldg, Third Ave corner 28th St, Crescent Park West, Bonifacio Global City,
Taguig, MM).

The ranking of the three finalists will be determined in the final round.
The final round will be done in the Photo Congress event from Oct 22 â€“
23, 2007, where a popular voting will be incorporated in the criteria.

The breakdown of criteria percentage will be as follows:
visuals - 35% (composition, camera movement, colors)
sound - 25% (music, use of natural audio)
editing - 25% (timing, phase,flow)
impact - 5%
popular vote - 10%

Note: For the popular voting, participants in the Photo Congress exhibit
area will be encouraged to vote for their top video through vote & pick
a prize incentive.

:: When Will the Awarding Of Prizes Be Held

Awarding of prizes will be held during the Photographers Night on 24 October 2004, winners will be immediately notified after the judging by phone or other fastest available means.

Prizes not claimed within sixty (60) days from the date of announcement of winners will be forfeited in favor of the WPPP Photo Congress 2007.

The top ten entries may be shown for public viewing during the WPPP Photo Congress 2007.
